“La Pieve Degli Ulivi” is composed of three buildings and more exactly a main hideaway disposed on two floors for a total surface of 600 square metres, a detached farmhouse of 105 square metres close by and finally a dependance of 67 square metres placed near the entrance-gate, ideal for a caretaker/housekeeper. The stunning 360° view goes from the green rolling hills down to the town of Assisi.
The main building has a particular L-shape.
The entrance, placed under a loggia, gives access to the bright living room, where on the left hand-side two doors give access to the bathroom and the hallway, which goes both to the first floor and to the studio/bedroom now used as tv-room. From here an internal staircase leads to the lower ground floor. Still on the left hand side of the living room, near the bathroom is located the entrance to the other part of the house. Here we immediately find: the large
dining room and the kitchen with closet and storeroom. All the rooms of the ground floor have their own old stone fireplace. The flooring has been made by using old terracotta tiles coming from a monastery of the 14th Century, while for the ceilings they have used old wooden beams and hand-made tiles. The first floor, both reachable through the internal and external staircase placed just above the loggia, shows a careful internal
room distribution together with the same brightness of the ground floor. The external entrance opens into a small hallway, where on the right hand-side is placed the spacious bedroom with en suite bathroom. Here the gorgeous truss ceiling and the wonderful stone fireplace located near the bed create a magic atmosphere. This area benefits also of a very good privacy thanks to the external entrance.
On the left of the entrance we find another bedroom, smaller
than the previous one, but still completed by a wardrobe and an en suite bathroom. The first floor is completed by the lovely suite where the wardrobe makes a partition between the bedroom and the bathroom with Jacuzzi bath tube and shower.
The floors have been made by using good quality terracotta tiles and the ceilings are with beautiful wooden beams and local terracotta tiles. The lower ground floor includes laundry room and cellar and a
water tank has been placed in the adjacent room.
The second building is on one floor. The entrance opens into the large living room with old fireplace and truss ceilings. The internals are made very bright by the arched-windows.
The right hand-side opens into the kitchen and the hallway, which leads: to a bedroom on the right , to a bathroom on the left, also easily reachable from the living area, and finally the ample bedroom with en suite bathroom.
The annex is divided into: living room/ bedroom, kitchen and large bathroom. Both floors and ceilings have been realized by using good quality remedial material . The heart of the property is all surrounded by a wonderful garden, where it is easy to have access through the many door-windows on the ground floor. The atmosphere is made wonderful by the secular olive grove and Mediterranean trees and also by the pool with an elegant
sand-coloured floor and surrounded by old nice terracotta tiles. The pool is surrouneded by lavender bushes and enjoys a breathtaking view.
