with a single aisle. Inside are some interesting paintings fom the XIII and XIV centuries and a lovely painted wooden cross from the Giotto school.

Instituted in 1534, it stands next to the monastic complex and still represents today an important sector of the working life of the Camaldolesi community. The small museum and the galenic laboratory, using
natural herbs, are worth a visit and it is interesting to see the vast quantity of products which can be purchased.

Of interest

The church, re-constructed in the XVIII cent. in Baroque style, contains an altarpiece, “Madonna in trono con Bambinoe Santi” by Andrea Della Robbia (XV cent.). San Romualdo’s cell, the complex of the Hermitage and the Aula Capitolare with a valuable wooden ceiling are
worth a visit.
