The Pieve of S. Maria a Micciano has ancient origins as Roman finds from recet excavations prove. In the XII cent. it was given to the Camaldolese monks and became an important centre of a busy agricultural activity.

Santuario della Madonna del Carmine o del Combarbio

The sanctuary was built in the first half of the XVI cent following the apparition of the Madonna to a young shepherdess. In the interior an image of the Madonna is highly venerated by the inhabitants of Anghiari.
