Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi-Monte Falterona-Campigna
Brief Description: The National Park of the Foreste Casentinesi-Montefolterona-Campigna was instituted in 1991 and covers and area of about 35,170 hectares along the Apennine ridge between the provinces of Arezzo and Forlė. The comuni of the surrounding Arezzo area, covered by the park, are Bibbiena, Chiusi della Verna, Poppi, Pratovecchio and Stia. The geological nature of the park is made up of sand- stone, clay and loam rock which have created caves such as the Buca delle Fate
near Badia. Pratiglia: Spruce, beech, and chestnut make up the wealth of the naturalistic heritage.
