Sestino The historic centre is gathered around its Pieve dedicated to San Pancrazio. Of great interest, is a painted cross from the Riminese school of the XIV cent. and the crypt. The history of the town can be
traced by visiting the Antiquarium Sestinate where important Roman finds are housed. There is a wonderful view of the typical Apenninne landscape from a visit to Sasso di Simone ( 1210 m) Because of its strategic position, Cosimo I of the Medici chose it as the place for planning a fortified town.
